Terms of Service

1Acceptance of These Terms

By registering for an account, purchasing tokens, or otherwise using Livius, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and OmniSource Solutions, the operator of Livius.

2Eligibility

Livius is intended for professional use by adults. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use the service. By using Livius, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide during registration is accurate and complete.

3The Service

Livius provides tools that use artificial intelligence to help you draft, refine, and format documents such as CVs, cover letters, emails, and other written content. The service is provided on a token basis: certain actions consume tokens from your account balance. We may add, change, or remove features over time to improve the platform.

4Your Account

When you create an account, you are responsible for:

• Keeping your login credentials confidential and secure.
• All activity that occurs under your account.
• Notifying us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.
• Providing accurate account information and keeping it up to date.

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, as described in the Suspension and Termination section.

5Tokens, Payments, and Refunds

Livius operates on a token model. The following terms apply to purchases:

• Pricing: Tokens are sold in packages priced in euros (EUR). Applicable taxes may be added at checkout.
• Payment processing: Payments are handled by a dedicated third-party payment processor (Stripe). We do not receive or store your full card details.
• Consumption: Tokens are consumed when you use features that require them. The token cost of each action is shown in the app before you confirm it.
• Digital goods: Tokens and generated documents are digital goods delivered immediately. Once tokens have been consumed, that consumption is final.
• Refunds: Unused token balances may be eligible for a refund where required by applicable EU consumer law. Tokens already consumed are non-refundable. To request a refund, contact [email protected].
• Expiry: Where a token package specifies an expiry period, unused tokens may expire at the end of that period. Any such condition is disclosed at the time of purchase.

If you are a consumer in the EU, your statutory rights, including any applicable right of withdrawal, are not affected by these Terms. Because digital content is supplied immediately, you acknowledge that the right of withdrawal may be lost once you begin consuming tokens, to the extent permitted by law.

6AI-Generated Content and Your Responsibility

Livius uses artificial intelligence to generate and edit content. You understand and agree that:

• AI output can contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying any content before you rely on it or submit it to third parties.
• We do not guarantee that generated content is accurate, complete, original, or fit for any particular purpose.
• We do not guarantee that AI-generated content will bypass, defeat, or be undetectable by any AI-detection system, plagiarism checker, or similar tool. Any such claims are not part of this agreement.
• You are solely responsible for how you use the content you create, including ensuring it is truthful, lawful, and appropriate for its intended use (for example, statements made in a job application).

7Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Livius to:

• Create content that is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, harassing, or that infringes the rights of others.
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or affiliation in a way that is deceptive or unlawful.
• Upload malicious code, attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform, or interfere with its security or normal operation.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the service except as permitted by law.
• Violate the acceptable use policies of the third-party AI providers that power the service.

We may remove content or restrict access if we reasonably believe these rules have been broken.

8Intellectual Property

Ownership is divided as follows:

• Your content: You retain ownership of the input you provide and, as between you and us, of the documents you generate using the service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any material you upload.
• Our platform: Livius, including its software, design, branding, and underlying technology, is owned by OmniSource Solutions and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights in the platform other than the right to use it as intended.

You grant us a limited licence to process your content solely to provide the service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.

9Service Availability

We work to keep Livius available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We may modify or discontinue features at our discretion.

10Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Livius is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will meet your requirements or that results obtained from it will be accurate or reliable.

11Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, OmniSource Solutions will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data, or opportunities, arising from your use of Livius. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid to us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including your mandatory rights as a consumer.

12Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Livius if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the security of the platform and other users. You may stop using the service and close your account at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

13Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice in the app before they take effect. The Last updated date at the top reflects the current version. Continued use of Livius after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

14Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal and applicable European Union law. Disputes will be subject to the competent courts of Portugal, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have in your country of residence within the EU. EU consumers may also use the European Commission Online Dispute Resolution platform.
